Energy & Commerce Committee Votes to Repeal FCC's Open Internet Rules
The House Energy and Commerce Committee voted to overturn the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Open Internet rules.
On March 11, the Subcommittee on Communications and Technology started the repeal process in action by introducing and passing a bill disapproving of the FCC's rule — using a rarely utilized procedure under the Congressional Review Act.
The House of Representatives will now debate the Open Internet rules on the floor and vote whether or not to repeal them.
