Democrats Delay Net Neutrality Reversal

An appeal by Reps. Henry Waxman (D-Calif.) and Anna Eshoo (D-Calif.) for a legislative hearing on the subject of net neutrality has delayed a legislative measure that would overturn the FCC's Internet regulations.

Lawmakers contend that many top tech companies, including Google, Facebook, Amazon, and eBay support the FCC's net neutrality measures, which have codified open Internet principles. The hearing would allow more time to voice the concerns of those on the side of the measure before a vote is held. Democrats on the Energy and Commerce Committee also sent a letter to the Republican leadership protesting the decision to deny amendments to the bill
