More Than 100 Mayors Come Out In Support of AT&T/T-Mobile Merger
The number of city mayors supporting AT&T's $39 billion bid for T-Mobile climbed to 102 from 24 states. That number is in addition to 26 governors and 11 state attorneys general. The mayors — including those of Miami, Sacramento and St. Louis — "...cited potential job growth and improved mobile broadband access as reasons to support the deal."
"Because small business is the lifeblood of our regional economy, I'm confident that the improvements and efficiencies they experience as a result of the AT&T/T-Mobile merger will translate into a boost for our regional economy," said Sacramento Mayor Kevin Johnson.
